This Website is owned and operated by Duo Home Solutions and will be referred to as the “Website,” “we,” or “us” in this Privacy Policy. By using this Website, you agree to the Terms and Conditions of Duo Home Solutions, which are detailed on this page.

Article 1. Definitions

1.1 In these general terms and conditions, the below-mentioned capitalized terms have the following meaning, unless expressly stated otherwise or the context shows otherwise:

    Purchase Agreement: The agreement for the contracting of work, the agreement for services and any other agreement for the performance of work, the delivery of services and/or products between the Contractor and the Quotation Requester;
  • Duo Home Solutions: The user of these general terms and conditions: Duo Home Solutions, registered with the Chamber of Commerce under Chamber of Commerce number 88752127;
  • Quotation request: The request for quotation that a Quotation Requester has submitted via the Website or in any other way that Duo Home Solutions has received from the Quotation Requester;
  • Quotation Requester: The natural or legal person who has submitted a Quotation Request to Duo Home Solutions for the performance of work and/or for the provision of services or products;
  • Contractor or General Contractor: The legal person or natural person who acts in the exercise of his profession or his company who has entered into an Agreement with Duo Home Solutions.
  • Agreement: The brokerage agreement between Duo Home Solutions and the Contractor;
  • In writing: In writing or by email;
  • Website: The website www.duohomesolutions.nl is managed by Duo Home Solutions.
  • Platform: means the Duo Home Solutions website and any related mobile applications and services.
  • User: means any person or entity who uses the Platform.
  • Client: means a User who posts a Project on the Platform.
  • Project: means any construction, renovation, or other similar work posted by a Client on the Platform.
  • Services: means any services provided by a General Contractor.

1.2 Unless the context indicates otherwise, defined terms in the singular also refer to the plural and vice versa.

Article 2. General

2.1 These general terms and conditions apply to all Agreements between Duo Home Solutions and the Contractor.

2.2 The present terms and conditions also apply to all Agreements for the execution for which Duo Home Solutions engages third parties.

2.3 Any deviations from these general terms and conditions are only valid if they have been expressly agreed upon in writing.

2.4 The applicability of the (purchase) conditions used by the Contractor is expressly rejected.

2.5 If one or more of the provisions in these general terms and conditions are null and void or should be annulled, the other provisions of these general terms and conditions will remain fully applicable. In that case, Duo Home Solutions has the right to substitute a provision that is not unreasonably onerous for the Contractor and that approaches the invalid provision as closely as possible.

2.6 Duo Home Solutions has the right to unilaterally change these general terms and conditions and to declare the amended general terms and conditions applicable to the existing Agreement. The Contractor will be informed in writing of the amended general terms and conditions and the date on which they will become effective.

2.7 If Duo Home Solutions does not always require strict compliance with these general terms and conditions, this does not mean that the provisions thereof do not apply or that Duo Home Solutions would, to any extent, lose the right to ensure strict compliance with these general terms and conditions.

Article 3. Quotation Request and Mediation Service

3.1 Submitting the Request for Quotation is free of charge.

3.2 The Request for Quotation can only be submitted via the Website after the Requester for Quotation has clicked that he/she agrees with these general terms and conditions.

3.3 After the Quotation Requester has submitted the Quotation Request, Duo Home Solutions will contact the Quotation Requester by telephone for more information. If Duo Home Solutions deems a company with which Duo Home Solutions cooperates suitable to process the Request for Quotation, Duo Home Solutions will forward the Request for Quotation to this company after the telephone conversation.

3.4 If the Contractor has notified Duo Home Solutions that the Contractor wishes to process the Request for Quotation, Duo Home Solutions will contact the Quotation Requester to make an appointment on behalf of the Client with the Quotation Requester to view the location where the Request for Quotation relates. After this appointment, a quotation is sent to the Quotation Requester.

3.5 No costs will be charged to the Quotation Requester for submitting the quotation.

3.6 The quotation is drawn up by the Contractor and not by Duo Home Solutions.

When a Client and General Contractor agree to work together on a project, a contractual relationship is created between them. Duo Home Solutions does not participate in any contractual relationship between the Users and is not a party to any agreement between them. It is the responsibility of the Users to agree on the terms, conditions, and payment for the project.

3.7 Duo Home Solutions has the right to engage one or more third parties in the performance of the Mediation Service.

3.8 Duo Home Solutions cannot guarantee that submitting a Quotation Request will lead to a quotation or to a Purchase Agreement.

3.9 Duo Home Solutions has the right:

Not to process the Request for Quotation if Duo Home Solutions has good reason to believe that the Request for Quotation is not serious;

Terminate the Mediation Service if Duo Home Solutions knows or suspects that the Quotation Requester is (no longer) interested in the Services.

3.10 Sending in the Request for Quotation is entirely without obligation. The Quotation Requester can withdraw his Quotation Request at any time. In such a case, the services of Duo Home Solutions will cease.

Article 4. Responsibilities of the Quotation Requester

4.1 The Quotation Requester guarantees that all information he/she enters when requesting a quotation and that he/she provides during the telephone conversation with Duo Home Solutions is correct and complete. Clients are solely responsible for their projects and for ensuring that they have all necessary permits and approvals. Clients are required to provide accurate information about their projects, budget, and timeline. Duo Home Solutions does not endorse or guarantee the accuracy or completeness of any project information provided by the Client.

4.2 The Tenderer is responsible for the decision to enter into a Purchase Agreement with a Contractor introduced by Duo Home Solutions to the Quotation Requester.

Article 5. Position of Duo Home Solutions

5.1 Duo Home Solutions can perform legal acts on behalf of the Contractor, such as forwarding a quotation. Duo Home Solutions is never responsible for the content of the quotation from the Contractor, not even if Duo Home Solutions has sent the quotation to the Quotation Requester on behalf of the Contractor.

5.2 If the Quotation Requester agrees to the quotation, the Quotation Requester will enter into a Purchase Agreement with the Contractor and not with Duo Home Solutions. When a Client and General Contractor agree to work together on a project, a contractual relationship is created between them. Duo Home Solutions does not participate in any contractual relationship between the Users and is not a party to any agreement between them. It is the responsibility of the Users to agree on the terms, conditions, and payment for the project.

5.3 The Contractor is not hired by Duo Home Solutions. The Quotation Requester immediately enters into a contractual relationship with the Contractor. Duo Home Solutions is not a party to the Purchase Agreement. Duo Home Solutions only has an intermediary function. The Services are not offered or performed by Duo Home Solutions. Therefore Duo Home Solutions cannot guarantee the quality of the Services provided.

Article 6. Liability and limitation

6.1 The Quotation Applicant is responsible under all circumstances for the correctness and completeness of the data and documents supplied by him. Duo Home Solutions is never liable for any damage that is (partly) caused because the information and documents supplied by the Quotation Requester are incorrect. Duo Home Solutions is not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from the use of the website or the services provided by General Contractors.

6.2 Duo Home Solutions is not liable for damage to or loss of data as a result of sending the data using telecommunications facilities.

6.3 Duo Home Solutions is in no way responsible towards the Quotation Requester for the behavior, expressions, information provision, etc., of the Contractor.

6.4 Duo Home Solutions is not liable for damage to the Quotation Requester or to a third party caused by the Contractor.

6.5 Duo Home Solutions is never responsible if the Contractor, for whatever reason, does not perform the Purchase Agreement (on time) or if it terminates the Purchase Agreement prematurely.

6.6 If the Contractor has not, not timely or not properly delivered the Services, has caused damage and/or has acted unlawfully towards the Quotation Applicant, the Quotation Applicant can hold the Contractor liable for this and not Duo Home Solutions.

6.7 Duo Home Solutions is never obliged to pay compensation as a result of consequential damage. Consequential damage is in any case considered to be: lost turnover, lost profit, lost savings, trading loss, business interruption, stagnation damage, delay damage, reputation damage, labor costs, fines imposed and indirect damage, regardless of their origin.

Clients are responsible for paying General Contractors for Services rendered. Duo Home Solutions is not responsible for any payment disputes between Clients and General Contractors.

Duo Home Solutions does not offer any support, validation, or guarantee for any user, project, or service on their platform. The use of the terms “verified” or “accepted” only means that the user has completed the necessary steps to join the platform and not a certification of payment or quality. The responsibility of verifying the authenticity and reliability of any project or service lies solely with the client. The content posted on the platform is solely for informational purposes and does not guarantee any project or service’s success.

Duo Home Solutions does not provide any support, inspection, validation, or guarantee with regards to any User, Project, or Service. The use of words like “verified” or “accepted” only means that the User has fulfilled the admission requirements of Duo Home Solutions Platform, and it does not guarantee payment, quality, or the User’s honesty or reliability. Clients must conduct their own due diligence before accepting a Project or Service. The User content on Duo Home Solutions Platform is for information purposes only and does not represent an undertaking or guarantee by Duo Home Solutions

Any legal claim against Duo Home Solutions due to a defect in the performance of the Mediation Service lapses 6 year after the Quotation Requester has discovered or could reasonably have discovered the damage. Our liability is capped at a maximum of either (a) the total amount of compensation paid by the User to DUO Home Solutions within the preceding 6 months from the time the liability occurred or (b) €100,

Article 7. Force majeur

7.1 Duo Home Solutions is not obliged to provide the Mediation Service if it is prevented from doing so as a result of force majeure. Force majeure in these general terms and conditions is understood to mean, in addition to what is understood in this regard in the law and jurisprudence, all external causes, foreseen or unforeseen, on which Duo Home Solutions cannot exert any influence, but as a result of which Duo Home Solutions is unable to fulfill obligations. Force majeure includes in any case: extreme weather conditions; floods; theft; natural disasters; terrorism; riot; epidemics; pandemic; quarantine obligation; barriers by third parties, including governments; illness or personal (family) circumstances of the natural person who performs the Agreement on behalf of Duo Home Solutions; traffic obstructions; car breakdown; wars or dangers of war; fire; Internet malfunction; Power failure; computer intrusion; hacker attack; cyber attack; disruption in e-mail traffic; government measures; changes in laws and regulations.

Article 8. Customer service and complaints

8.1 For questions about the Request for Quotation, the Mediation Service or submitting a complaint about the services of Duo Home Solutions, the Quotation Requester can contact the customer service of Duo Home Solutions. Duo Home Solutions customer service can be reached via:

8.2 Complaints submitted to Duo Home Solutions will be dealt with as soon as possible.

8.3 Complaints about the Services will be forwarded to the Contractor.

8.4 At the request of the Quotation Applicant, Duo Home Solutions can mediate in a conflict and/or complaint handling between the Quotation Applicant and the Contractor. Duo Home Solutions is never obliged to do so. The fact that Duo Home Solutions mediates between the Quotation Requester and the Contractor does not mean that Duo Home Solutions can be held responsible in any way for the acts and/or omissions of the Contractor.

Article 9. Personal data

9.1 Duo Home Solutions processes personal data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). For more information about the processing of personal data, the Quotation Requester can consult the privacy policy of Duo Home Solutions, see Privacy policy.

Article 10. Intellectual property rights

10.1 Every intellectual property right with regard to the Website remains with Duo Home Solutions.

10.2 The Quotation Requester must respect the intellectual property rights of Duo Home Solutions at all times.

10.3 Duo Home Solutions has the right to post photos of the Services delivered or delivered on the Website.

Article 11. Applicable law and competent court

11.1 Dutch law applies to the Mediation Service and to the legal relationship between the Quotation Requester and Duo Home Solutions.

11.2 All disputes between the Quotation Applicant and Duo Home Solutions will be adjudicated by the competent court in the Netherlands within whose jurisdiction the registered office of Duo Home Solutions is located. has invoked this stipulation, to opt for the settlement of the dispute before the competent court according to the law.

11.3 DUO Home Solutions may make available certain business listings and other listing-related content, like links to third-party websites through DUO Home Solutions. Business listings are created and provided by third parties, and by using our Website, you acknowledge we exercise no control over the business listings. DUO Home Solutions has no obligations to include any business listing in its search result and reserves the right to exclude or include any business listing from the website for any reason. DUO Home Solutions assumes no responsibility or liability for the content, completeness, accuracy, availability, reliability, and legality of any business listing.
